Faith is not a power or way for us to fulfill our own selfish desires. The kind of faith God wants us to have and live is faith that’s God-centered and unselfish; faith that’s not just for our needs or our good, but faith that trusts God for the blessing of someone else. The story in Mark 2 tells us about four people whose faith was put to work for their friend. They believed Jesus was the answer for their friend, and in faith, they did some things so their friend could encounter God. And Jesus rewarded their faith by healing their friend.
