The Book of Acts is important to us because it provides a bridge for the writings of the New Testament. The Book of Acts follows the Gospels to show how Believers built on the solid foundation laid by Jesus after He departed from the Earth. In His Gospel, Luke tells us what Jesus did. In Acts, Luke tells us what Jesus expects His followers to do. One thing is made abundantly clear in the first chapter of the Book of Acts and that is that theology doesn’t necessarily equal power.
