Many people in the Church today think that God is punishing them because of sin. The truth is that that Jesus faced our punishment for sin when He was lifted up on the cross. According to Isaiah 53:5, “the chastisement (punishment) for our peace was upon Him”. Jesus paid the penalty for sin over 2000 years ago.
