PRECIOUS
Psalm 139:14-16
14 I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made.[a]
Wonderful are your works;
my soul knows it very well.
15 My frame was not hidden from you,
when I was being made in secret,
intricately woven in the depths of the earth.
16 Your eyes saw my unformed substance;
in your book were written, every one of them,
the days that were formed for me,
when as yet there was none of them.
When I read those verses, I am reminded of how each one of us has been divinely appointed to this earth for “such a time as this.” If I begin to consider what it would mean for me, had I not been born when I had… I am overwhelmed with how my life has a specific purpose for the allotted time that God has given to me, and I begin to feel honored that He would choose my life for this specific date in history.
Pastor Jason shared a phrase that has been ringing in my spirit…
“Purpose in our Placement”
Do you hear that, Friends? There is PURPOSE in you being EXACTLY where you are at THIS GIVEN time! That should excite you! You were formed in the secret place… He designed your substance… breathed the breath of life into you… and wrote down your every day. Our precious Father looked into ALL the days of this earth, foresaw this history-making event, and said, “Her. I need HER in THIS moment, at this specific place, operating in this unique role. She carries something that no one else before or after her has, and I want HER to be a living, breathing, walking, talking monument to who I am – in THIS moment – for those surrounding her.”
You’ve been prepared, Beloved! He has been training you every day from the event of your birth to be a vessel for Him – Today!
THINK ABOUT IT
Do you believe that God has an assignment for your life that you have been equipped to fulfill? If not, ask God why you struggle to believe that.
How have these current events changed your perspective on that assignment? How can you continue to act out His vision for you – even within the confines of today?
ACTION STEP
Read Ephesians 1:4-5 (I highly recommend The Passion Translation!) and rewrite it in your own words as a direct quote from the Father, replacing “he” with I, “us” to “you”, “himself” to “myself”, etc. Then, let the fact that He CHOSE YOU begin to really change the way you see yourself!
Take another minute to read over Psalms 139:14-16 again. Let the fact that He has written down ALL of your days – even before there was one – and let the peace in knowing that He KNOWS ALL THINGS be a comfort to you in a time when we are living in a constant state of unknowns.
