This message deals with the time in which Jesus cursed a fig tree and it withered away. This event has been confusing for many Believers. Why would Jesus pick on that poor fig tree? Nowhere else do we see Jesus take his frustration out on nature. Most people interpret this event and say it’s connected to the impending judgement for Israel in A.D. 70. While this event may represent judgment, the only application Jesus makes is an illustration of believing prayer. So if the event is about prayer, what was Jesus actually teaching us?
