March Family Time
Romans 5:8
But God demonstrates His own love for us, in that while we were sinners, Christ died for us.
Week 1- If we don’t know who we are then we don’t know what we have. If we don’t know what we have we will believe lies.
This week dive into the word together. Just take a few minutes each day to meditate on some simple truths that are packed with power and identity.
Day 1- John 1:12
Day 2- Jeremiah 1:5
Day 3- 1 Peter 2:9
Day 4- Galatians 4:7
Day 5- Psalm 139:14
Day 6- John 15:15
Day 7- Romans 8:1
Week 2- One of the biggest lies of the enemy is that we should be afraid. Afraid of what? Afraid of any and everything.
-Afraid people won’t like us
-Afraid we aren’t good enough
-Afraid we will fail
If we live in fear we will believe lies about ourselves, others and God.
Meditate on 2 Timothy 1:7 this week.
Spend time this searching if your thoughts are coming from a place of fear or sonship.
-Fear looks like anxiety, worry, control, timidity, judgement, jealousy, condemnation, rejection, man pleasing
-Sonship looks like love, power, peace, sound mind, self-control, hope, joy, acceptance, courage
I was a little girl full of fear. I have had a lot to un-do in my thinking.
We get to fill our kids with truth now, while they are young, so they grow up to be adults that know who they are.
“Teach the kids so you don’t have to teach the adults.”
– Abraham Lincoln
Week 3- We can live so entrapped in fear that we believe lies are truth. Buy the truth! Proverbs 23:23
Lies we commonly believe:
You belong! You are loved! You matter! You have a voice!
If you struggle with believing lies than get in the truth. Fear is a liar. It is an evil spirit that sneaks in so easy. Confront the lies, the fears and declare truth over yourself, and your family.
Week 4-Truths That Will Change Us.
Take some time this week to discuss these truths as a family.
-The Bible is the source of truth.
-God loves us unconditionally.
-Jesus is the only way to Heaven.
-God has a plan for each of our lives.
-God hears our prayers.
-Jesus will always be with you.
-You are brave and can do whatever God calls you to do.
-You can overcome any temptation.
-If Jesus is your savior you are forgiven.
-God rewards those who are seeking Him.
