Abiding in the Lord is not just drawing near, but remaining with EXPECTANCY! We must push through the place of knowing about God… to the place of an ever growing relationship with Him. Abiding provokes relationship… relationship provokes trust… trust provokes obedience… and obedience provokes Heaven’s response!
There is nothing more powerful in our life that loving obedience toward God. Faith and obedience cannot be separated; and our obedience is the “works” that makes our faith alive… James 2:20. God’s plan for us is perfect and we intersect with it as we lovingly obey the Word and the revelation that comes to us through the Holy Spirit.
The way we order our priorities in life can lead to great tragedy or “other-worldly” triumph. God is very intentional as to how He expresses the Kingdom through us. If we seek His presence about ALL things; we will find Him ready to fill us to overflowing with the Kingdom so that those around us experience Him through our life.
The year is coming to an end! What has happened to 2014? At the end of each year, we have the Thanksgiving and Christmas season, which stirs many things within us. Thanksgiving is a beautiful invitation to slow down and reflect on life around us. So often, I find myself running through life and not taking the time to turn aside and count the many blessings around me. When I finally slow down and consider… so often I am able to build a list of the many good things in my life.
