VERSE FOR DECEMBER
“God has given a Son to us.”
Isaiah 9:6, NCV
FAMILY DEVOTIONAL:
Is there a more glorious time of year than Christmas? The lights. The sounds. The smells. The joy. And, preschoolers make it even more exciting. For many, this is the first time they’re hearing the story of baby Jesus. When’s the last time you read the story of baby Jesus? When did you last truly hear that God sent HIS SON for YOU—for all of us? God loved us so much that He sent His Son to live among us. Isn’t that amazing? And, He didn’t send Him as royalty. No, He sent Him to a simple woman who gave birth in a stable. It’s an incredible story that should be read again and again to truly appreciate what that time must have been like. So, grab your Bible and open it up to the book of Luke. Dive into the Christmas story again. Read about how God loved you so much that He sent His Son—for you. Merry Christmas!
